Good quality, smooth experience

I ordered the GemiBook xPro about two weeks ago. The ordering process on their US site was straightforward, no real hiccups there. It shipped out pretty quickly too, I think it arrived in about 6 days which felt reasonable coming from them. The laptop itself is pretty solid for the price. I use it mostly for work documents and some light browsing, and it handles everything fine. The screen is clear and the keyboard feels decent for typing. Customer support wasn't needed, so I can't speak to that, but overall I'm happy with this purchase. It's a capable machine for everyday tasks.

Decent value, slow support

I bought the HeroBook Pro for my son for school. The laptop itself is good for the price point; it runs basic applications well and the battery life seems decent. It took about 8 days to arrive, which was a bit longer than I hoped, but not terrible. My only real gripe was with customer service. I had a quick question about the warranty through their online form, and it took almost three days to get a response. The answer was helpful, just slow. Overall, it's a decent budget laptop, but don't expect super fast support.

Consistent quality, returning customer

This was my third purchase from CHUWI, this time I got the LarkBox X. I've had a CoreBook Air and a HiPad XPro before, and they've always delivered a good product for the money. The LarkBox X is no different; it's a solid little mini-PC that does exactly what I need for a home server. Shipping was about the same as my previous orders, maybe 5-7 days to the East Coast. The packaging was secure, and everything arrived safely. It's hard to beat their value, especially if you catch one of their sales. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and they consistently meet those expectations. Reliable stuff.

My RZBox came with a European power adapter. Are Chuwi tablets compatible with US outlets?

E ElectricalEngineer_Lite 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
The devices themselves are generally compatible with universal voltage (100-240V). You just need a simple plug adapter or a new US-style power brick.

Or contact support, they might send you the right one.

So I just need an adapter then? That's a relief.

P PlugAdapterFan 1 month ago
Yeah, been there. My Hi10 Go came with the wrong one, grabbed a cheap adapter off Amazon.

C CorrectPlugPaul 1 month ago
Mine came with the correct US plug for my CoreBox. Must be a regional shipping error.

Lucky you! I'll probably just get an adapter.

Is Chuwi a reliable brand for a student laptop? Looking at the HeroBook Pro.

B BudgetStudent 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
For the price, yeah. My GemiBook Plus has been solid for basic school stuff and browsing. Don't expect MacBook performance, but it gets the job done.

S StudentTechSeeker 3 weeks ago
That's what I need, just reliable for notes and essays.

Battery life is decent on mine too.

Build quality is surprisingly good for the cost.

P PracticalUser 3 weeks ago
It's a good budget option. Just don't push it too hard with heavy software. For word processing and web, it's fine.

S StudentTechSeeker 3 weeks ago
No heavy software for me, just typical student stuff.

Is the Chuwi US Store the official website? Worried about warranty.

C ChuwiUser_NJ 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Yes, us.chuwi.com is the official US store. I bought my CoreBook Air from there and registered the warranty without issues.

They do have a global site too, but the US one is for North America.

My discount code for the GemiBook xPro isn't working at checkout. Anyone else?

D DealHunterJoe 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Are you trying to stack it with another deal? Chuwi usually doesn't let you do that.

The newsletter one can be finicky. Sometimes takes a day to activate.

No, just one code. It's the newsletter signup one.

Yeah, I had that problem with a first-time buyer discount. Turns out it doesn't apply to clearance items sometimes.

Mine wasn't clearance, just a regular promo code.
